Long Distance Management

If your project is too far away to ‘drive by’ then you be doing long distance management.

You should have already included provisions in your project scope of work, as discussed in Bidding – Long Distance Management Guidelines.

Before construction begins, remind the contractor that they agreed to forward you photos regularly, starting with the existing conditions prior to mobilization.

During construction, make sure you receive and review the progress photos immediately upon receipt and issue any questions as quickly as possible as part of the regularly required documentation before handing over payment.
